When registered sex offenders move into an area, neighbors are supposed to be alerted and given the name and photo of the offender. However, sex offender Pearly Wilson claims that in his case, he was able to get detailed information about his neighbors from a prosecutor – including names and Social Security numbers.

In these financially difficult times New Zealanders are turning to arson to solve their problems says a new study by www.stuff.co.nz. Statistics New Zealand figures show that the number of arsons has increased by 20 percent over the past two years to 2768, while the number of cases solved has decreased by 12 percent.

The Wall Street Journal reported earlier this month that killers are beginning to use text messaging to establish alibis. In two murders earlier this year text messages were sent from the victims’ phones by the killers in an attempt to establish an alibi.

On Wednesday AT&T announced a security breach which exposed the e-mail addresses of some 114,000 high-profile users of the Apple iPad. According to a statement released by AT&T the security hole, which was apparently tapped by a research group calling itself Goatse Security, had been fixed.
